History
Centre d'intervention de crise Tracom is a non-profit organization founded in 1986. Then Minister of health and Social services, Thérèse Lavoie-Roux initiated efforts to reduce the problem of overcrowding in hospital emergency rooms. To address this problem, eight crisis centers were established in Quebec, including Tracom.
As of January 1987, our 3 services include:
- Housing
- Telephone support
- Short-term crisis housing.
Mission
The mission of Centre d'intervention de crise Tracom is to offer psychosocial crisis intervention services to an adult clientele, as well as family members, caregivers, or friends of adults in distress. Our objective is to provide support that will help to restore a state of normal functioning, and to provide tools to help clients take concrete steps toward an improved quality of life.
